What are the common failures of screw air compressors?

1.Insufficient air exhaust

(1) Possible cause: excessive air demand

Remedy: Check whether the air-using equipment and compressor exhaust volume are suitable.

(2) Possible cause: High pressure air leakage

Removal method: Check the air supply piping and valves for leaks.

(3) Possible cause: Clogged air filter.

Elimination: Check whether the instrument shows the need for maintenance signals, if necessary, replace the filter element.

(4) Possible causes: clogged oil-air separator filter element

Remedy: Replace the oil separator cartridge, oil filter cartridge and oil.

(5) Possible causes: pressure regulator valve out of adjustment or damaged

Remedy: Adjust the pressure regulator, see Chapter 4 Operating Procedures. Check the regulator diaphragm and replace if necessary.

(6) Possible causes: diesel engine speed is too low

Remedy: Adjust speed, or check diesel fuel filter.

(7) Possible causes: insufficient opening of the intake valve

Remedy: Check the control line

2.Insufficient air supply pressure

(1) Possible cause: Excessive air demand.

Remedy: Check whether the air-using equipment and the compressor exhaust volume are appropriate.

(2) Possible reasons: Air filter clogging.

Remedy: Check whether the meter shows a signal for maintenance, and replace the filter element if necessary.

(3) Possible causes: High pressure air leakage

Remedy: Check the air supply line and valve to see if there is any leakage.

(4) Possible causes: pressure regulator valve out of adjustment or damaged

Remedy: Adjust or replace

(5) Possible causes: Oil level of the oil-air separator is too low.

Remedy: Add oil. Check for leaks.

(6) Possible causes: Oil cooler is too dirty or clogged

Remedy: Clean the oil cooler core fins.

(7) Possible causes: Loose or damaged fan belt

Remedy: Adjust tensioner pulley, or replace belt.

(8) Possible causes: Malfunction of the thermal element of the temperature control valve

Remedy: Replace the thermal element.

(9) Possible causes: Temperature control valve to the head oil pipe clogged

Remedy: Clear the oil pipe.

(10) Possible causes: Head main oil inlet connector clogged

Remedy: Clear the connector.
