There are significant differences between wheel-type water well drilling rigs and crawler-type water well drilling rigs in terms of structural design, applicable scenarios and performance characteristics.The core difference between wheel-type water well drilling rigs and crawler-type water well drilling rigs:
(1) Chassis structure
wheel-type type: adopts wheeled walking mechanism, similar to truck or engineering vehicle chassis, relying on wheel-types to move.
Crawler type: equipped with rubber or steel wire crawler chassis, similar to excavator structure, driven by crawler.
(2) Terrain adaptability
wheel-type: suitable for flat, hardened road surface, climbing degree is generally not more than 40% -60%, soft ground is easy to sink.
Crawler type: it can adapt to mud, mountains, slopes (gradient of more than 30 °) and other complex terrain, the grounding ratio is small, not easy to slip.

wheel-type type: fast road speed, no need for trailer, high transfer efficiency.
Crawler type: trailer is needed for transport, but it is flexible to move autonomously on the construction site, especially suitable for narrow or obstacle-ridden areas.

Power transmission: the diesel engine drives the hydraulic pump, which converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy.
Rotary drilling: the hydraulic motor drives the drill pipe to rotate and the drill bit cuts the rock and soil.
Dredging system: Mud pump injects drilling fluid into the hole and carries rock chips back to the surface (positive cycle); or backblasts and drains the slag through an air compressor (reverse cycle).
Depth control: Hydraulic cylinder pushes the mast up and down to adjust the drilling pressure and feeding speed.
